The authors consider the set of all \(\sigma\)-convergent sequences denoted by \(V_ \sigma\). After proving that \(V_ \sigma\) is a Banach space, the authors characterize the matrices transforming \(\ell_ 1\) to \(V_ \sigma\). In conclusion the absolutely \(\sigma\)-convergence sequence spaces \(\ell_ \sigma (p)\) and \(m_ \sigma (p)\) are introduced and their properties are studied.
