The authors propose an improvement of a previously considered ``deteriorated positive definite and skew-Hermitian splitting preconditioner'' by replacing the shift term \(\alpha I\) with \(0\). In this respect, they derive sharper bounds for the real part of the eigenvalues different than \(1\). Numerical experiments of a model Navier-Stokes problem are presented to illustrate the effectiveness of the new preconditioner.
