Invariant monotone vector fields on Riemannian manifolds (Q1001856)

The authors introduce several interconnected notions of invexity of a function \(f\) on a Riemannian manifold \(M\) in terms of a predefined map \(\eta:M\times M\to T(M)\), \(\eta(x,y)\in T_y(M)\), \(x,y\in M\). These invexities are then shown to be related to monotone vector fields. The base manifold \(M\) is usually assumed Cartan-Hadamard.
