The Birkhoff interpolation problem with lacunary polynomials is studied. \textit{F. Palacios} and \textit{P. Rubio} [Appl. Math. E-Notes 3, 124--129 (2003; Zbl 1020.41004)] introduced the generalized Polya condition and characterized conditionally regular interpolation matrices by this condition. So under this condition the interpolation problem has an unique solution. In the paper under review the results of Palacios and Rubio are applied to the cases of the one-node interpolation problem and the two-node interpolation problem in the restricted case where one of the nodes is null.
