This paper gives a necessary and sufficient condition on a 1-1 tensor to give a Poisson-Nijenhuis structure on an oriented 3D-Poisson manifold. The Nijenhuis operator has been introduced in a work of Magri, Gelfand and Dorfman. In this paper, the authors show how to obtain Poisson-Nijenhuis structures. Explicit examples and application for the Poisson Lie group SU(2) are also studied.
