On the property of (\(X^+)\) for generalised Liénard system (Q1006528)

It is well known that the Liénard like system \[ \dot x=h(y-f(x)), \qquad \dot y=-g(x) \tag \(*\) \] is of great importance for modelling phenomena appearing in physical, biological, chemical, and economical systems. Thus, the study of properties like stability, boundedness, oscillation and periodicity of solutions of \((*)\) is of great interest. In this paper, the authors investigate the problem of whether all trajectories of system \((*)\) cross the vertical isocline \(y=F(x)\), which is very important for the existence of periodic solutions and oscillation theory. Some sufficient conditions are established for all trajectories to cross the vertical isocline.
