This paper contains an analysis of a two-grid finite-element method for a semilinear reaction-diffusion equation. A supplementary variable is introduced to handle the nonlinear diffusion coefficient. On the fine grid the nonlinearity of the source term is treated by linearization about the course-grid solution. Error bounds are proved.
