Quadratic spherical spline quasi-interpolants on Powell-Sabin partitions (Q1012252)

The authors are concerned with the problem of constructing quasi-interpolants in the space of quadratic spherical Powell-Sabin splines on uniform spherical triangulation of a sphere-like surface. In this sense, discrete and differential quasi-interpolants of optimal approximation order are developed and some numerical tests are presented to show that the proposed quasi-interpolants are better than some other approximation methods.
