The Haar wavelet method is applied to the study of some phenomena arising in engineering. The authors are concerned with the estimation of soil temperature at different depths. The Haar wavelet model described in this study provides reasonable estimates. A more complicated model including more parameters (like specific heat capacity of water and water fluxes) is also considered in the present parameters.
