After recalling the Cole-Hopf transformation for a multicomponent Burgers (mcB) hierarchy, the authors recall relations between the mcB and the mcKP hierarchy. Then they present a generalization of the Cole-Hopf transformation, which leads to a more general relation between the multicomponent linear heat hierarchy and mcKP hierarchy. This approach gives a simple method to construct mcKP solutions.
