This article deals with a free boundary problem in filtration with a nonlinear Darcy's law. A liquid posses a layer with flat bottom and periodic free boundary \(y=f(x,t)\). The approach is to reduce the problem under consideration to absrtact Cauchy problem \(f_t=\Phi(f)=0\), \(f(0)=f_0\) with nonlinear nonlocal operator \(\Phi\) in appropriate Hölder spaces.
