The authors prove the global existence and stability of a transonic shock wave solution to the full 2-D Euler system when a perturbed steady supersonic flow hits a long wedge with a sharp angle. The downstream pressure at infinity is given. The asymptotic state of the downstream subsonic solution is determined.
