Sequences have important application in code-division multiple access communication systems, ranging systems, software testing, computer simulation, stream ciphers, etc. Sequences also have close connections with error-correcting codes and certain combinatorial designs. The objective of that paper is to give a well rounded treatment of binary sequences with optimal autocorrelation. The authors survey known constructions and present new constructions.
