The authors state an explicit product formula for the determinant of a matrix with entries given by Jackson integrals of type \(BC_{n} \) (a multisum generalization of a very -well- poised- balanced \(_{2r}{\psi}_{2r}\) basic hypergeometric series). The determinant satisfies a holomonic q-difference equation which has been constructed by using a set of new polynomials via the symplectic Schur functions.
