The main result of the paper presents a construction of unbounded functions \(\varphi\) on any neighbourhood of each boundary point of the unit disk (in the complex plane) such that the corresponding Toeplitz operator (on the Dirichlet space) with such symbol function \(\varphi\) is a trace class operator.
