The authors consider a nonlinear autonomous neutral delay differential population model, which describes the intriguing dynamics of an insect population with long larval and short adult phases. By transforming the neutral delay differential equation into an appropriate non-neutral nonautonomous delay differential equation with unbounded delay, they give a global study of the stability of the equilibria of the population model.
