Consider the predator-prey model \[ \begin{aligned} {dx\over dt} &= x(1- x)- {bxy\over y+ x}- rx,\\ {dy\over dt} &= {cxy\over y+x}- ey,\end{aligned}\tag{\(*\)} \] where \(b\), \(c\), \(e\) are positive constants. The authors apply the homotopy perturbation method to approximate a solution of \((*)\) by a solution of an analogous system with constant effort prey harvesting. The results a compared with the results obtained by the Adomian decomposition method.
