This work shows that a computationally validated anthropometric test device equipped with a feedback-controlled head-neck complex (HNC) is capable of reasonably emulate the behavior of human head and neck in nonimpact situations, even when subjected to various combinations of external stimuli. The control reference used for the HNC position during automobile driving (head verticality) is selected as an initial approach to the control problem.
