High order numerical methods to two dimensional delta function integrals in level set methods (Q1025177)

Numerical methods, including stated algorithms, implementations, error analyzes and examples, are presented for integrals including delta functions in their integrand. Otherwise the integral includes a standard weight functions and the norm of a gradient. The means that is being used is the partitioning of the integral with a uniform mesh, the dimension, however, is restricted to the two variable case For the two algorithms given, error estimates are established with respect to the spacing of the aforementioned discretization.
