The author studies the Kelvin equation describing the effect of interface curvature on the equilibrium vapour pressure in the diphasic liquid-vapour system. He investigates this non-linear equation in the general situation when the vapour pressure is significantly different from its value for a flat interface, from the point of view of existence, regularity and computational aspects.
