A finite set of points \(P\) in the plane is said to be in convex position if it forms the set of vertices of a convex polygon. This work studies the ratio between the maximum area of convex pentagons with vertices in \(P\) and the area of the convex hull of \(P\) [cf. \textit{P. Erdős} and \textit{A. Soifer}, Geombinatorics 2, No.~4, 72--74 (1993; Zbl 0844.52002)].
