The author presents a group-theoretical approach to a continuous wavelet transform on the unit sphere \(S^{n-1}\) based on the conformal group, the Lorentz group. A special case of this construction is the spherical continuous wavelet transform introduced by \textit{J. P. Antoine} and \textit{P. Vandergheynst} [J. Math. Phys. 39, No. 8, 3987--4008 (1998; Zbl 0929.42029)]. Applications are not given.
