Summary: We study the boundedness, the attractivity, and the stability of the positive solutions of the rational difference equation \[ x_{n+1}=(p_{n}x_{n - 2}+x_{n - 3})/(q_{n}+x_{n - 3}), \quad n=0,1,\dots , \] where \(p_{n},q_{n}, n=0,1,\dots \) are positive sequences of period 2.
