Iterated function systems and hierarchical iterated function systems are very known sources to produce fractals which are the attractors of the respective systems. An address for each point of that attractor is attached. The authors define and use \(R\)-systems as a method to generate some fractal sets. Some properties and examples of \(R\)-systems are given. The case of a bounded linear \(R\)-system is discussed (Theorems 1 and 2). In Theorems 3,4 and 5 relations between \(R\)-systems and \(R^*\)-transducers are established and proved.
