\textit{A. Dvurečenskij} and \textit{M. Hyčko} [Math. Slovaca 56, No. 2, 125--144 (2006; Zbl 1150.03347)] proved that every interval of a bounded integral divisible residuated \(\ell\)-monoid can be made into a bounded integral residuated \(\ell\)-monoid. In the paper under review, the authors show that this construction works in integral residuated \(\ell\)-groupoids, and that divisibility is not only sufficient but also necessary.
