The paper is devoted to the investigation of autonomous differential systems with arbitrarily finite dimension. Applying an extension of the Poincaré-Bendixson theorem, the author proves the existence of periodic orbits for such systems. Moreover, the application to a scalar fourth-order differential equation is considered.
