The authors prove the strong convergence of solutions to a nonhomogeneous second order evolution equation with a maximal monotone opertor in a Hilbert space. They also prove the exponential rate of convergence in the homogeneous case. In fact, it is worth paying attention to their recent series of articles about the asymptotic behavior for solutions to evolution equations.
