The Dirichlet problem for the superlinear elliptic equation of the divergence form in a smooth bounded domain is considered. It is shown that the problem is weakly solvable when coefficients are VMO functions. The result about global Hölder regularity of solutions is proved and exact Hölder exponent is obtained.
