A closed-form solution is derived for the large plastic deformation of a polygonal frame loaded by a uniform internal pressure. The material of the frame is assumed to be rigid, perfectly plastic, and the effects of large geometric changes are included. A comparison is made between theoretical results and available experimental data for a pressurized hexagonal tube.
