The flow of a chemically reactive gas mixture above a thermally destructing surface of liquid fuel is studied. The burning of a quiescent fuel in the flow of an oxidant and the boundary layer with chemical reactions behind a shock wave sliding over the fuel layer are considered. The solution has been obtained with allowance for the motion induced in the liquid layer on its interaction with the gas flow and with allowance for the change in the thermophysical properties of the gas depending on its composition. The distributions of the parameters (velocities, temperatures, concentrations) in liquid and gas phases have been found. The mass flow rate of the fuel surface burnoff has been determined.
