Spline quadrature formulas (Q1059803)

Quadrature formulae for splines with equispaced knots are developed in this paper. For special classes of splines, some simple explicit expressions for the weights in the quadrature formulae in terms of the zeros of the Euler-Frobenius polynomials are given and it is shown that these weights are positive. Some quadrature formulae are derived. An explicit quadrature formula for splines (in the case of finite interval) whose even derivatives vanish at one end point and whose odd derivatives vanish at the other end point is also derived in this paper.
