This paper deals with the analysis of split plot designs in which the number of sub-plots within the whole plot is less than the levels of the factors attached to the sub-plots. This is a particular case of incomplete block designs. The analysis is based on the generalized least squares theory. The paper contains eight theorems related to estimation and testing of various parameters. The paper is mathematically sound and has practical utility.
