Numerical prediction of an asymmetrical heated plane jet with a second- moment turbulence closure (Q1060923)

Different closure models for the triple velocity and velocity-temperature correlations have been tested. The numerical solutions obtained with a modified \textit{S. V. Patankar} and \textit{D. B. Spalding} finite-difference method [Heat and mass transfer in boundary layers, Intertext Books, London (1970)], the most important modification being the staggering of the location of nodes for the turbulence variables to mean-field nodes, are compared to the experimental data.
