Moments of additive functions and the sequence of shifted primes (Q1061164)

The author obtains asymptotic moments for certain functions f(n) and integers n in the set \(\{p+c:\) p prime\(\}\). The method of proof involves the combinatorial sieve and the bilateral Laplace transform. The hypotheses on f are too long to be included here. Barban had previously established distribution results for these f, but it was not known under what conditions the moments could be asymptotically estimated as well.
