By making use of the theorems on bilateral and multilateral generating functions proved by \textit{H. M. Srivastava} [Indagationes Math. 42, 221- 233, 234-246 (1980; Zbl 0415.33008)] and \textit{H. M. Srivastava} and \textit{J.-L. Lavoie} [ibid. 37, 304-320 (1975; Zbl 0297.33004)], the authors derive here analogous results for Gottlieb, Meixner, Cesàro and generalized Sylvester polynomials.
