The author proposes a simple (in his opinion) scheme which simplifies an scheme proposed by \textit{R. E. Barnhill} [see \textit{R. E. Barnhill} (ed.) and \textit{W. Boehm} (ed.), Surfaces in computer aided geometric design (1983; Zbl 0516.65001), p. 1-24]. It is a modified \(C^ 2\) Coons' patch and computationally more efficient.
