[For part I, see ibid. 15, 229-247 (1982; Zbl 0499.10021).] The main result is an asymptotic formula for the averages of class numbers of indefinite binary quadratic forms taken along certain polynomial sequences. Related results and conjectures have recently been published by \textit{C. Hooley} [J. Reine Angew. Math. 353, 98-131 (1984; Zbl 0539.10019)].
