The main result is a transformation involving Horn functions: \[ H_ 1(e-a,1-a,a,e;y,x)=(1+x)^{a-1}G_ 1(1-a,e-a,1-e;-x/(1+x),-y/(1+x)). \] It is the corrected form of a transformation given by \textit{C. Lal} [Indian J. Pure Appl. Math. 6, 624-627 (1975; Zbl 0358.33001), equation (3.3)].
