The author remarks that the condition of simultaneity of some systems of linear equations which give the periodic Toda chain equations is equivalent to the condition of simultaneity of some higher order systems. In this way he reduces the problem of soliton solutions of equations of periodic Toda chain to the problem of generalized Bergmann potentials.
