Starting from some fundamental properties of Heaviside function and \(\delta\)-function, and making use of singular perturbation methods, the authors provide a method of finding the asymptotic analytic solution of equation \(M(u)=\epsilon f(u)+\lambda \delta (t-a)\) where M is an nth- order linear differential operator, and f(u) is a polynomial.
