The author examines characteristic classes of Grassmann foliations (not: bundles!) and computes the codimension of the space of those characteristic classes which are always zero when applied to the particular class of foliations - a subclass of homogeneous foliations. It is shown, by the way, that the complex bordism classes of Grassmann manifolds are linearly independent.
