The problem with a directional derivative for the uniformly elliptic operator of second order with smooth coefficients in a multidimensional bounded domain with a smooth boundary is investigated. Subelliptic estimates in the setting of Sobolev-Slobodetskij, Lebesgue and Besov spaces are obtained. Analogue estimates in \({\mathcal L}_ 2\) were obtained by \textit{Yu. V. Egorov} and \textit{V. A. Kondrat'ev} [Mat. Sb., Nov. Ser. 78(120) (1969), 148-176 (1968; Zbl 0165.122)].
