The author relates results of two papers [\textit{F. Mora} and the author, Proc. Am. Math. Soc. 90, 30-34 (1984; Zbl 0539.14018) and the author, Ann. Univ. Ferrara, Nuova Ser., Sez. VII 29, 21-28 (1983; Zbl 0557.14013)] concerning the ring of Nash functions of X, when X is a normal affine algebraic variety defined over k and k is any field, and he conjectures also some algebraic properties concerning the map from Nash to real analytic functions.
