Measurable products of modules (Q1066280)

Let \(X=\prod_{I}G_ i\) be the direct product of R-modules \(G_ i\), \(i\in I\). A number of theorems concerning X require the index set I to be of non-measurable cardinality (e.g. in the context of slender groups and modules). The author removes this requirement and instead imposes restrictions on the cardinalities of the \(G_ i\) and the number of different isomorphism classes of \(G_ i\) involved.
