In 1981, Jean Dieudonné presented a very forceful explanation and defence of Bourbaki's point of view on the role of mathematics. In this paper, the author modifies Dieudonné's view and makes several comments on his article. The paper deals with some shortcomings of Bourbaki's mathematical researches. This article is very useful to those who are going to study on history of mathematics and are particularly interested in criticism of mathematics.
