A class of second-order nonlinear difference equations. II: Comparison results and approximation of solutions (Q1067118)

This is a continuation of the paper in ibid. 110, 212-221 (1985; reviewed above). For the class of difference equations considered in part I comparison theorems for the solutions are derived which are applied to obtain upper and lower bounds for the solution. The example studied in part I by variational methods is then used to illustrate the approach by bounding functions.
