A modification of uniformly convex modular in the sense of W. A. J. Luxemburg and necessary and sufficient conditions for a modular of the Musielak-Orlicz type defined on the space of strongly measurable vector- valued functions to be uniformly convex in the new sense are given. Moreover, some examples that illustrate this result and a method of estimation of the modulus of convexity for Orlicz spaces are also given.
