The quasisteady evaporation of a spherical drop with internal heat release is studied. Energy is transfered from the drop to the ambient vapor-gas medium by molecular heat conduction, convection, and radiation. The aim of the paper is to investigate the influence of asymmetry of the heat flux on the drag of the evaporating drop and to establish the conditions of applicability of the model of spherically symmetric evaporation.
