Magnetofluiddynamic circular jet in a variable radial magnetic field (Q1068662)

The flow of a laminar circular jet of a viscous, compressible, electrically conducting fluid in the presence of a variable radial magnetic field is studied. Boundary layer approximations are applied, and taking Prandtl number as unity a particular integral of the energy equation is found. Similar solution for the velocity distribution is obtained and expressions, both for velocity field and momentum flux, are given in a compact form for small values of the magnetic interaction parameter.
