The author observes that there is a natural correspondence between bipartite tournaments and fabrics consisting of interwoven horizontal and vertical strands. He points out that conditions for a bipartite tournament to be irreducible also provide conditions for the corresponding fabric to hang together, that is, if any non-empty subset of strands is lifted then the entire fabric is lifted.
